Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing ECCONY services, creating a submission, registering, or purchasing an offer, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you can legally enter the agreement. If acting for an organization, you confirm authority to bind it. Users under 18 require a parent or legal guardian.
2. ECCONY’s platform role
ECCONY is a community, education, directory, and media platform. Unless expressly stated in a signed agreement, ECCONY is not an agent, broker, employer, fiduciary, guarantor, registered agent, joint venturer, or party to transactions between users and listed organizations.
3. Directory listings and business profiles
Listings are submitted by businesses or compiled from approved information. Verification may confirm selected facts but is not an endorsement or guarantee. Profile placement, traffic, leads, media coverage, and sales are not guaranteed. ECCONY may correct formatting and request proof.
4. User responsibilities and due diligence
Users are responsible for evaluating businesses, services, qualifications, licenses, pricing, safety, and suitability before entering any transaction.
5. Prohibited businesses, content, and conduct
Prohibited activity includes fraud or deceptive claims; unlawful goods or services; harassment or discrimination; intellectual-property infringement; impersonation; misleading credentials or licenses; dangerous or exploitative conduct; spam; unauthorized scraping; malware; review manipulation; and any business, content, or conduct that violates applicable law.
6. Transactions with independent businesses
Listed organizations are independent. Their quotes, work, contracts, representations, warranties, billing, taxes, insurance, licensing, safety, and disputes are their responsibility.
7. Classes, workshops, events, and online access
Programs are educational and do not guarantee employment, income, certification, licensing, or a business result.
8. Rescheduling, attendance, and all-sales-final policy
All sales are final except where otherwise required by applicable law. A customer may request one transfer to another available class date before the configured rescheduling deadline.
9. Virtual mailing and mail-forwarding services
Purchase begins an application and verification process; service starts only after approval.
10. Media, intellectual property, and submitted content
ECCONY and its licensors retain rights in ECCONY branding, design, original media, and platform materials.
11. Optional image, likeness, and voice consent
Promotional recording rights require a separate, unchecked consent.
12. Newsletter and marketing communications
Service messages necessary for a purchase or registration are separate from optional marketing.
13. Suspension, removal, and termination
ECCONY may investigate, reject, suspend, edit, unpublish, or remove a listing, account, event, or submitted material when it reasonably believes the content is inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe, deceptive, infringing, inconsistent with community standards, or harmful to ECCONY or its users.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ECCONY is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify ECCONY against third-party claims arising from your unlawful conduct.
17. Changes to services and policies
ECCONY may change services or policies.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by New York law, without overriding mandatory consumer protections.
